By Caitlin Runne-Janczy

DENVER – Feb. 5, 2016. Students at Stargate Charter School in Thornton, Colo. recently participated in an afternoon of science and fun at an eScience Labs-hosted science fair.

eScience Interns Bring Science to Low Income Kids

This week eScience interns took science on the road! Eight interns went to Warren Village, a transitional housing program that helps low income single parents acquire the life skills to achieve self-sufficiency. While parents took night classes, eScience interns partnered with kids to extract DNA from bananas, have a rocket launching competition, test buoyancy by engineering their own boats, and even explore geology by observing crystallization processes.

December 4th, 2013: On a blustery snow day when temperatures dipped below 10 degrees, eScience Labs’ Volunteer Team piled into COO Scott Higgins truck to help staff the Loveland FEMA Donation Distribution Center. FEMA has been a vital resource for the Colorado flood victims who endured disastrous floods last fall. This natural disaster destroyed nothing short of homes, neighborhoods, and communities, and left many Colorado families heartbroken.

Music at the Heart of eScience: Written By Ali Dunbar

July 3rd, 2013: Music is the auditory connection between the warehouse and the office at eScience Labs. It is the common thread the pulls the employees together. One side of the building is dedicated to physically building the lab kits, and the other side is responsible for organizing the creation and the sale of the lab kits. Although the two parts of the building complement one another, they are fundamentally focused on the different sides of the business.

eScience Labs Rides On...

June 23rd, 2013: Led by Andrea Rex, the eScience bike commuters Charles Duckett and Scott Higgins participated in Colorado's Bike to Work Day. The Denver Regional Council of Governments, or DRCOG, brings together city and county governments and other interested groups in the metro area each year to plan Bike to Work Day as a way of raising awareness of bicycle commuting.
