Middle school is a great opportunity to get students excited about science. The Life Science kit, available for the fall 2008 semester, has been developed to enrich students' growing understanding of the diversity of life and to encourage them to draw parallels with other subjects, such as renewable resources. The series includes labs on the scientific method, the basis of life, the kingdoms of life and environmental science. This series provides the fundamental skills and knowledge students need to meet and exceed their states' 8th grade science standards.

The 12 hands-on labs in the Accelerated Biology Kit are written and designed for college level science majors. They are the same labs included in a first year biology course at traditional colleges, now available to online students. These labs are also compatible and can be used with the College Board's AP* Biology curriculum for advanced high school students.

This is a custom 21 slide set that complements the High School and College Introductory Biology Lab Kits. It comes with an electronic manual with 1 more lab than the standard kit ("Introduction to the Microscope").

Slide set requires the student to have access to a quality microscope.
