eScience Labs kit faculty users to present at Higher Learning Commission conference

DENVER – April 14, 2016. Dr. Klaus Woelk, associate professor of chemistry at Missouri University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Shayna Burchett, lead chemistry instructor at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri, have been selected to share his blended laboratory teaching techniques at the Higher Learning Commission Annual Conference.

HOUSTON - March 3, 2016. Hundreds of community college educators gathered recently for the 69th annual Texas Community College Teachers Association conference. As part of the conference events, eScience Labs CEO Scotts Higgins led a roundtable discussion titled “Strengthening Learning through Sensory Engagement”. In his discussion, he stressed the importance of engaging the whole student in the learning experience.

eScience Labs Hosts Science Fair at Local School

DENVER – Feb. 5, 2016. Students at Stargate Charter School in Thornton, Colo. recently participated in an afternoon of science and fun at an eScience Labs-hosted science fair.

Members of the eScience Labs team set up five experiments for students to participate in. From dissecting owl pellets and identifying the bones within to using rockets to learn about the principles of physics, the students had a blast.

eScience Interns Bring Science to City Kids Camp

This year, as part of the 2014 Summer Community Outreach Program, five interns packed into a car on a road trip to Wyoming.  In collaboration with the City Kids camp, the interns had the chance to share many of the experiments that eScience produces with City Kids campers. City Kids is a camp that offers kids from vulnerable locations in Washington D.C. an opportunity to go to Wyoming, where campers learn critical skills which allow them to succeed outside of a typical classroom setting.

Online College Students Get Hands-On Lab Experience with eScience Labs’ 2nd Edition Introductory Physics Lab Kit

The lab kit is intended for higher education, non-majors students enrolled in online or hybrid course models.

eScience Interns Bring Science to Low Income Kids

This week eScience interns took science on the road! Eight interns went to Warren Village, a transitional housing program that helps low income single parents acquire the life skills to achieve self-sufficiency. While parents took night classes, eScience interns partnered with kids to extract DNA from bananas, have a rocket launching competition, test buoyancy by engineering their own boats, and even explore geology by observing crystallization processes.

eScience Labs Helps Local Boy Scouts Paint a Church Fence

March 4, 2014: eScience Labs assisted Troop 712 in painting the Bethany Luthern Church fence. The fence painting was Andrew Higgins's Eagle Scout project. The fence was longer than a football field and over eight feet high. eScience contributed over 20 gallons of paint and assisted in painting the fence with Troop 712. The project took over 16 hours to prepare, paint and touch up.

December 23rd, 2013: Volunteering and spreading goodwill is a common theme throughout the holiday season, but for eScience Labs, these ideals are part of our everyday culture. 2013 was a great year for us in many ways.
